The work was originally issued in six parts between 1819 and 1821, and is more usually encountered with the plates mounted on card, in the manner of watercolours, with printed descriptive labels on the verso. This copy is the ordinary format on thick paper. The plate list at the front refers the reader to the appropriate page of description in Dodwell's Tour through Greece, published in 1819.
