180 x 150mm. The initial blue, decorated with lighter blue acorn leaves, on gold ground. The saint is wearing a red cloak over his Franciscan habit, seated at a desk in a small gothic chamber, teaching from a book. Before him four young students, two of them monks, are sitting on the ground at his feet holding books and studying.
On the ground at the saint's side are a mitre and a crosier, at the other side a tree with twelve limbs, supporting the crucified Christ.
Above suspended from the ceiling a red cardinal's hat and the Sacred Monogram.

Painted within a green and beige border (possibly later?). Pasted on card, (a little flaked and rubbed, but generally in good condition), glazed and framed.
