The 2 works uniformly bound in near-contemporary calf, spines gilt (but rubbed, joints split).

The first work is without the portrait. Ciampini was a man of letters and antiquary who abandoned the law to study the antique. He established a number of academies in Rome to encourage the study of literature, and his home was known as a meeting place for literary figures. (3)
