Half-titles, titles to vols.I-XII in red and black with engraved vignettes after Moreau le Jeune, Choffard and Le Barbier. Engraved portrait by A. de Saint-Aubin after de La Tour, 37 plates after Moreau le Jeune (30) and Le Barbier (7) by Le Mire and others, 13 folding plates of engraved music. (Most volumes with some browning, occasionally heavy). Contemporary french mottled calf gilt, red and green morocco lettering-pieces, g.e. (Spines a trifle scuffed, head of spine of vol.I and head and foot of spine of vol.VII slightly chipped). Provenance: Athelstan Riley, seigneur de la Trinité (bookplate).
