A SILVER-GILT-FILIGREE-MOUNTED RHINOCEROS HORN LIBATION CUP
17th/18th century, the mounts possibly late 18th century Indian

The exterior carved with a wide band of stylized birds in thread relief on a leiwen ground under blossoming prunus branches and qilin clambering on the strap handle each extending over the rim, the key-fret band at the rim repeated at the interior, of light honey colour at the exterior and reddish-brown at the interior, mounted with high metal foot and two C-scroll handles, rim crack restored and small extremity chips, one handle of mount damaged
