Enamelled on the exterior with a seated male and female, a warrior, emblems and sacred animals, divided by pendent beads issuing from ferocious masks, between bands of Buddhist Emblems alternating with shou characters

Jenyns, op.cit., pl.CXII, fig.1, where the author suggests that these bowls were part of a service made for a daughter of the Emperor Daoguang, who married a Mongolian Prince of the Tumed banner.
