This salver would appear to have been part of a magnificent set of six salvers. The set of four arranging in size from 6¼ in. to 19¼ in. wide were sold Christie's, 17th December, 1930, lot 37. These are now in the Collection of Irwin Untermeyer in the Metropolitan Museum of New York, three of which are illustrated in English and Other Silver, The Collection of Irwin Untermeyer, 1969, no.127.
