Similar panels with parrots and other birds perched in trees carved from alberse terra del paese di Rimaggio and inlaid with lapis lazuli in the Museo dell'Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence are illsutrated A. M. Giusti et al., Il Museo dell'Opificio delle Dure a Firenze, Milan, 1978, cat.no.96a-109. These are thought to date from the last quarter of the 17th century.

A tray and a table top probably made in the Grand Ducal workshops in the mid-18th Century and inlaid with very similar ribbon-tied pearls and now in the Silberkammer, Vienna, and the Hofburg, Vienna, are illustrated A. Gonzáles-Palacios, Il tempio del Gusto, Milan, 1986, vol.II, pp.151-152
