dated jiaqing 4th year, corresponding to 1799, and probably of the period
Comprising eight rectangular panels and two smaller panels, decorated on one side with a continuous scene of ships, figures and pavilions in a mountainous riverscape, above rectangular panels of utensils, all below a band of smaller panels of insects, butterflies and birds perched on blossoming branches, the reverse with a long inscription on each large face, the smaller panels with characters to one side, some restoration
the larger panel each: 64½in. (164cm.) high, 12¼in. (31cm.) wide
