Carved with eight vertical flutes dividing calligraphy on the slender tapering body between bands of lotus petals at the foot and ruyi-heads suspending three beads at the shoulder, the waisted neck with flower-heads, rim chip restored, stopper, wood stand

Lot Essay

The calligraphy represents lines from a poem praising the taking of snuff and its auspicious powers and describing the beauty of the bottle.
