Each on an octagonal wooden plinth inscribed respectively 'PVERNATUS.EST.NOBIS' and 'EXULTATE.E.GAUDETE'.
The polychromy distressed and areas refreshed; some worming; one knee of each figure with a protruding dowel, intended to support a torchere or banner, now lacking; damages and losses.

The inscriptions on the bases of the present figures suggest an association with the Nativity of Christ. They may once have been flanking elements of a larger altarpiece ensemble.
