Lot Essay

The title is taken from one of Thomas Moore's Irish Melodies (1808-34), the following lines being printed in the British Institution catalogue:
Oh my Norah Creina dear,
My mild, my artless Norah Creina,
Beauty lies
In many eyes,
But love in yours - my Norah Creina.
