The present fragment represents an important addition to the recently defined Pisan school of illumination, cf. three articles in La Miniatura Italiane, Atti del Congresso di Storia della Miniatura, Cortona 1978, (publ.Florence, 1979) by C. Dupré dal Poggetto (pp.501-528), C. De Benedictus (pp.489-499) and G. Dalle Regoli (pp.23-50).
