The white enamel dial signed and numbered THOMAS EARNSHAW INVT ET FECIT No. 783, Roman hour numerals, gold heart-shaped hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds dial with blued steel hand (at VI), gilt pinned full plate movement, the top plate inscribed Thos. Earnshaw Invt et Fecit. 783 and the barrel bridge London 3392, 18,000 count train, Earnshaw escapement, solid flat rim three-armed polished steel balance, flat blued steel balance spring, bimetallic 'sugar tongs' adjustable index arm traversing a scale engraved S 5-10-15 F, engraved balance cock, spring detent with jewelled locking stone to side of pivoted banking block and having a depthing screw at outer end, 18 carat gold consular case with reeded band hallmarked London 1809, casemaker's mark LC
