The white enamel dial signed and numbered hri Motel, Hger de la Marine No. 41, Roman hour numerals, blued steel Breguet hour and minute hands, 18,000 count train, full-plate movement, polished steel pillars and screws, top-plate inscribed Construite par hri Motel N. 41, the fusee with Harrison's maintaining power and square with bevelled gear for external winding, balance bridge with polished steel spacers, diamond endstone in small sub-bridge assembly, Motel four-arm balance having blued steel-work throughout, one arm with downward mounted pin on underside forming part of the balance stop/start assembly, the balance rim comprising four bimetallic segments, one to each arm, each segment having a shaped brass heat compensation assembly screwed thereon and with mean time screws, palladium helical balance spring, the top stud with adjustable levelling screws, the impulse roller with steel protection strip over the impulse jewel, Motel pivoted spring detent with jewelled locking stone, the fifteen escape wheel teeth drilled through at varying heights, separate lower platform for escapement etc. mounted above pillar-plate, the edge of the dial plate inscribed HRI MOTEL HGER DE LA MARINE and with slide operating balance start/stop assembly, brass drum bowl with external winding square (at II) and snap-on bottom cover, red velvet-lined and gimballed outer bowl, the bowl and gimbal locked simultaneously by a bolt assembly mounted under the bottom of the bowl operated by a quarter turn of the knurled locking knob, plain two-tier mahogany box, the top with sliding cover to viewing port with inset brass plaque inscribed N 41 M
