Elizabeth (Lizzy) (born 1800) and Marianne Austen (1801-1896) were the daughters of Jane Austen's brother Edward Austen (1767-1852), who in 1812 took the name of Knight. Elizabeth married Edward Rice of Dane Court in 1818, the son of Mrs. Henry Rice (see lot 90). Marianne died unmarried at the age of 95
