The two putti in the upper register are related to a drawing at Turin which is in turn perhaps related to the destroyed frescoes of 1606-7 in Palazzo Reale, Turin of 1606-7, N.W. Neilson, loc. cit.. A drawing by Moncalvo with the same numbering in the upper left corner was exhibited at Colnaghi, Old Master Drawings, June 1968. The Colnaghi drawing was of comparable size, and both drawings may have been part of a dismembered album
