Lot Essay

This manor house also appears as 'The Old Manor' [lot no. 48]. There is also an engraving of this same house by Myles Birket Foster (?which) in an edition of 'The Poems of Oliver Goldsmith'. The house still stands which is near Godalming can still be seen today
