This watch was given to Donna Clothilde Urioste de Argandona Princessa de la Glorietta (d. 1933) by her husband Don Fransisco. The watch enamels are that of the Princessa. The two of them had dedicated their lives to charity in their home town of Sucre in Bolivia. When the news of their outstanding work reached Pope Leo XIII he bestowed their titles upon them. It is recorded in Sucre that when Donna Clothilde died the whole town went into mourning
