The funerary monument for the heart of Henri II, made between 1560-1566, with tripod base by Domenico del Barbiere, called Dominique Florentin, and grecian stem with addorsed dancing nymphs by Germain Pilon known subsequently as Les Trois Graces, has been exhibited in the Louvre since 1816.

The Parisian bronze founder Ferdinand Berbedienne (1810-1892) executed bronze reproductions of antique sculpture. This quarter size model, which was manufactured in six sizes, was illustrated in its two constituent parts in his 1886 catalogue, p.26 costing FF545.

One of the tablets is engraved with dates between 1866 and 1881.
