This portrait of Queen Victoria, by F.X. Winterhalter hangs in the Garter Throne Room, in the State Apartments at Windsor Castle; Marie-Pauline Laurent (1805-1860) exhibited at the Paris Salon and at the Royal Academy and carried out several paintings on porcelain, including on Sèvres porcelain, and on enamel, some after original oil-paintings; portraits of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and of Emperor Napoleon II and Empress Eugénie, on porcelain, were presented to Queen Victoria by Napoleon III, in 1858
