The arms delicately pierced with black and white latticework between powder blue dotted border, with foliage terminals and pearl detail, with pendant loop en suite, signed with addorsed CG monogram, circa 1865, 10.5cm. overall height, in fitted case

Giuliano is believed to have received his initial training from Castellani, and the above maker's mark, based on that of Castellani, was registered by Giuliano in February 1863 making the cross an early example of his work. Cf. G. Munn, Castellani and Giuliano, 1984, pl.197
