It is probable that the retouching of the face was as a result of similar discolouration if the pink pigment as va be seen on the hands

Muhammad Qasim of Tabriz was among those artists working in Isfahan in the middle seventeenth century. His work is much influenced by tht of Riza 'Abbasi. His dated works span the period AH 989-1032 (1581-1623 AD)
