This artist must have been one of Harunobu's pupils and his works are rarely seen. The print signed Mokushosai, one of his art names, depicting cranes and courtesans, formerly of W. Amstutz collection, is illustrated in Ukiyo-e shuka, Vol. 14, Tokyo, 1985
