The published Naval General Service Medal rolls confirm Stephen Fisher as a Clerk aboard the Daphne for the operations on, and off the coast of Syria in 1840.

Stephen Fisher attained the rank of Paymaster and Purser in November 1846 (Allen's Navy List refers).
