Lieutenant Loudoun Hastings Chisholm was commissioned as an Ensign in the Madras Army in March 1848 and joined the 40th Madras Native Infantry in January of the following year. He became a Lieutenant in November 1852 but died before the end of the Pegu Campaign on 16.5.1853.
