Sold with an attractive portrait photograph, by Yera, Hong Kong; embroidered wire bullion rank insignia and a picture postcard of the Coronation Review at Spithead in June 1911.

Chief Stoker Thomas Hemphill was killed in action at the Battle of the Coronel on 1.11.1914, while serving aboard H.M.S. Monmouth.
