Captain Noel Grabowsky, A.F.C., was appointed a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Air Service in April 1915 and advanced to Lieutenant in March 1918, shortly before being taken on the strength of the newly established Royal Air Force in the rank of Captain. His participation in Airship operations is verified by his appearance in early R.A.F. Lists under the heading of 'Dirigible Officers'.
