of oval section, the domed cover with finial moulded as a sailor sleeping on two barrels and above a band of almond blossoms, the jar inscribed MB in sepia script and moulded with a vignette of three men, seated wearing Oriental dress, one smoking a pipe beneath a parasol, the reverse with three sailors smoking and drinking around barrels, circa 1790 (small chips and some flaking) -- 20m. high See illustration
