A DUTCH BURR WALNUT AND FLORAL MARQUETRY BOMBE FRONTED BUREAU, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The sloping fall inlaid with basket of flowers with birds, butterflies and foliage within a zigzag border, enclosing a graduated, undulating, fitted interior with central enclosed cupboard and brass mounted half-column secret compartments with drawers and pigeon holes and well below enclosed by a slide, the reverse of the fall inset with a panel of tooled leather (worn) between oval inlaid panels containing three long drawers below with shaped apron with foliate carved centre between canted projecting angles on ball and claw feet, the sides inlaid with vases of flowers
