Kaendler, he standing before a tree-stump wearing a pale-yellow hat, his blue-lined white jacket applied with blue bows and ribbons and in a puce-flowered waistcoat and pale-yellow breeches, his companion holding out her skirt, wearing a pale-yellow bodice edged in puce and with applied blue bows, puce-flowered skirt and her white apron enriched with blue lines, on four-footed scroll-moulded bases applied with a flower and enriched in puce (he with minor chips to hat and edge of jacket, she with hat repaired and fingers of right hand restored, both with minor chips to applied flowers), circa 1758
