A COALPORT ARMORIAL BLUE-GROUND PLATE painted with a crest and coat-of-arms above the motto UTCUNQUE PLACUERTE DEO on a pink ribbon cartouche, the well gilt with stylised ornament, the blue border reserved with three shaped panels painted with briar-rose within gilt C-scroll and flowering foliage cartouches beneath a white and gilt foliate rim (well rubbed), circa 1840
