A VIENNA CYLINDRICAL COFFEE-POT AND DOMED COVER with a sloping neck and standing on a waisted foot, painted with Hectors Abschied., Hector bidding farewell to Andromache and his son, Astyanax, before warriors on horseback at the gates of Troy within a rectangular panel on a purple ground with gilt scrolls, foliage and paterae and a band of coloured acanthus-leaf foliage on a white ground with minute gilt dots, the neck and base with bright-yellow bands enriched with gilding between red lines with gilt beads, the strap handle with a band of trailing gilt vine (slight chip to handle), blue beehive mark, Pressnummern 96 and 23, iron-red painter's mark 36P, 1796
