A MEISSEN FIGURE OF A YOUTH clutching a cockerel under one arm, in turquoise hat with puce rosette, white jacket over pale-blue trousers and yellow shoes with red bows, his hair tied en queue, standing on a mound base with tree-stump support, encrusted with flowers and moulded with scrolls enriched with gilding (left wrist and staff repaired, plume and part of hair bow lacking, chip to cockerel's beak), blue crossed swords mark to back of base, circa 1750
