Lot Essay

The arms are those of Osborne accole with those of Anguish, for Francis Godolphin Osborne, 5th Duke of Leeds, who married secondly, in 1788, Catherine, daughter of Thomas Anguish, accountant-general of the court of Chancery. The Duke was born in 1751, created a Baron in his father's lifetime, and died in 1799
