The style of this akwanshi would seem to indicate an origin amongst the Nnam of Northern Ogoja Province. Close similarities (such as the multiple brows, notched vertical keloids and hatched borders to the eyes) are evident between this example and those from Ekulogom and Agba illustrated in Allison, 1968, plates 43-58
