Pomerol, cru exceptionnel. Château-bottled
Wax capsule over lead capsule. Original Wetterwald label, similar to previous vintages, slightly torn though complete (see illustration). Cork just visible under sides of capsule, appearing sound. Very good top shoulder level
The best vintage of the 1930s. Pétrus, two notes: very deep, rich appearance, smell and taste as if the must had been concentrated. The second, from an impériale, very similar but with better balance, a perfect bouquet that lasted well over an hour; rich on palate, with good 'grip'.
