Details
Three Oak Pupitres
All three clearly well used but in good condition, the wood dark stained-linseed oil and age. Each side has metal feet raising the pupitre approximately 1/2in. (1.5cm) from the floor.
These are traditional pupitres or riddling racks used in the process of rémuage, the necks of the champagne bottles being inserted into the holes and a fractional twist and slight elevation given manually on a frequent and regular basis to twist the sediment gradually to the neck of the bottle prior to disgorging
Two sided, top hinged, 58in. (148cm) high, 28in. (71cm) across top,
10 rows of 6 holes per side per lot
