A PAINTED SETTEE the pierced rectangular back with foliage- decorated toprail above nine oval panels painted with grisaille playful putti flanked and divided by turned shafts and balls, the padded seat covered in distressed floral-patterned blue silk damask, with foliate decorated front seat-rail and on tapering octagonal legs, the decoration rubbed, later blocks, later seat supports, early 19th Century, possibly German
