A GOLD, SILVER AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID BROWN TORTOISESHELL TABLE-CABINET inlaid overall with foliate scrolls, with rectangular-coffered hinged lid inlaid with a figure of Plenty holding a cornucopia in a chariot drawn by storks, and with a beehive and flower-basket, with red sil-lined interior, above two panelled doors one inlaid with a pair of doves, the other with a peacock and a lion, the reverses with mirrored panels, enclosing a fitted interior with conforming decoration and ten rosewood-lined drawers of varying sizes, one fitted for sewing, another fitted for writing with two glass bottles each with silver lid by Henry Manton of Birmingham, and hallmarked 1838, flanked by four spreading columns each with square capitals and an acorn finial, the stepped inverted breakfront base on ogee-bracket feet, first half 19th Century, probably English
