Another version was sold at Sotheby's, 20 Nov. 1957, lot 130; that picture is described by Dr. Ertz as probably the prime version although he catalogues it as a tentative attribution, while being confident of the autograph status of the present picture (judging both from photographs). He dates both paintings c.1615 by comparison with the 'Paradise Landscape with Noah's Ark', dated 1613 (his no.273)
