One of several copies of Raphael's 'Madonna della Sedia' in the Palazzo Pitti executed by Fabre, who lived in Florence 1793-1800 and 1801-24. Fabre greatly admired Raphael and retained one of these copies, now in the Musée Fabre at Montpellier; it is dated 1798
