A PAIR OF EARLY GEORGE III MAHOGANY STOOLS, each with serpentine upholstered rectangular seat covered in eau-de-nil damask, the frieze with solid serpentine front and back edged with foliage and carved with flower-sprays centred by shell clasps framed by trellis-and-rosette, the straight sides of waved outline applied on beech, centred by scallop shells, on cabriole legs headed by scallop shells, scrolls and acanthus ending in scrolled feet, one with paper label inscribed in ink 26435, formerly with castors, the seat-rails raised with additional fillets, one with repair to seat-rail, the other with three later cross-struts
