A LATE GEORGE II MAHOGANY KNEEHOLE DRESSING- AND WRITING-TABLE, the rectangular moulded top with serpentine front and canted angles edged with ribbon-and-rosette ornament fitted with six short drawers flanking the arched recessed sliding bowfronted kneehole cupboard, framed by leafy sprays, the frieze with a long drawer containing baize-lined slide covering a divided, fitted and lidded interior with central reversible easel mirror framed by boxes, racks and glass bottles and secret drawers, the lower edge carved with ribbon-and-rosette, the angles with gothic-pattern blind-fretwork, on foliate ogee bracket feet, minor repairs, three panels and cross-strut to back replaced, the top with two plugged holes from a repair to prevent warping, the keyhole to the central cupboard missing its cover
