Dr. W. A. Ackermann (L. 791) , without this stamp but from this collection. An annotation of an old wrapper refers to a sale at R. Weigel on 24 February 1862, on which date was held the third sale of Ackermann's collection. The price given in 3 Rth. 15 gr.)

According to Weigel (the cataloguer of the Weber sale), a protrait of Katharina Decker. The impression in Berlin is annotated 'Henrici Goltzii Uxor', an identification accepted by Hirschmann. Margaretha Jansdochter, the widow of Adriaen Matham and mother of Jacob Matham, married Hendrik Goltzius in 1579. This portrait was completed just a year later when she was thirty years old.
