After Abraham Blomaert
Moses (Holl. 5; Strauss 142)
etching with chiaroscuro woodcut from one plate and three blocks, printed in black and three shades of brown, circa 1626, a fine impression, rare in four colours (both Holstein and Strauss record a total of only three colours), trimmed to the subject, some horizontal drying folds, other diagonal folds at the corners, all essentially unobtrusive and presumably related to the prints process, a very small tear at the centre of the left edge, laid at the corners and at the centre of each edge
L. 312 x 225 mm
