Lot Essay

Bill Thornton and Charley Downer became elected members of the Guild of Handicrafts in 1894 and 1898, moving with the Guild to Campden in 1902. They made a large variety of pieces ranging to size from light- fittings and fire equipment to large and elaborate gates and railings.
