A PAIR OF DRESDEN CHINOISERIE VASES AND COVERS of baluster form, with crown and cushion finials and female-mask handles wearing gilt head-dresses and drapery, painted on the fronts and reverses with Orientals in landscapes within moulded mirror-shaped cartouches flanked by gilt whorls, the covers, knopped stems and flared bases painted in the Kakiemon style with Oriental flowers, the cartouches divided by vertical stripes of yellow scale-pattern (restoration to one finial, the other with small chip, one handle re-stuck), blue AR monogram, circa 1880
