The Jura rarely features in wine books these days. It is a small district making somewhat idiosyncratic wines of which the Vin Jaune is typical. Château d'Arlay is both a village and an estate, the latter owned by a branch of the Laguiche family. The wine has a pleasant soft yellow colour; flowery, nutty bouquet; dry, mellow, with good length. Ages well. Rare
