Tom Jordan acquired a large acreage in Alexander Valley , built a hightly impressive French-style château and state-of-the-art winery. His very first wine, the 1976 Cabernet Sauvignon, was an instant success, since when the winery has never looked back. Now, in the Bordeaux tradition Jordan grows the Merlot grape to be blended with the hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged in French and American oak and given two further years in bottle before release
